Sooo... (it's actually an impulse to start my entries with "so". I've been stopping myself each time so the entries don't all start with "so", but I gave in during the last entry. Shall exaggerate it this week just for the fun of it~) my auntie and uncle- real ones, as in blood related ones, are over for the night and they were sitting behind me the whole time I was processing my photos. Then my auntie asked me why I'm not doing my homework, or practicing my piano.... orz.
I'm awaiting my results now, but I suspect I won't do as well as first semester. It's going to be a decline from now. There's a pattern actually. Seconds years never do as well as first years. It's a fact, at least in my course. Judging from some of the first years that will be entering next year (namely some geniuses), we'll be... well... out of the picture. =(
Rather than thinking about next year's uni, I guess it'd be good to think about the three months of holidays starting... well, now!

To celebrate the end of the course, us students threw a pot luck lunch at the centre. A second year student brought korean dumplings.

Another second year student brought some really pink cupcakes~ she's known as the cupcake queen and brought the purple and pink cupcakes featured in the previous entry too.

Zero effort on my part- Chinese takeaway from me, haha. Hey! I had a half hour presentation on that day! (yes, it was an end of year party, but we had stuff due that week still, like presentations and skills tests...)

First year student made this. Boiled eggs, yolk removed to make a filling of tuna and egg yolks before being stuffed back into the hole.

Day after was a classmate's birthday. I was having placement at the centre and because both my supervisors didn't come, turned out I had the whole afternoon free since all their sessions were canceled. We went out to celebrate with her instead~

This was at Penrith. I forgot the restaurant (shame on me!) but they did have really cheap meals for lunch. I think a steak with salad and chips was $8. OK, so Newtown Thai is $6 for a big plate, but since this was a pub restaurant, $8 is pretty decent. And the steak wasn't overdone, so that's always a plus. They don't even charge extra for the sauce, which I know some places do... ripoff...

Since most of us first years were busy stressing over skills test and what not, we decided that the pot luck lunch wasn't really so much of a celebration after all, so we headed for some real celebration after everything was handed in and tested. A classmate suggested The Log Cabin, which has a view of the Nepean River... if you think this is the best photo in the whole of this entry, it's because I didn't take it. A classmate used my camera to take it for me.

We went after class, which was about 5pm already. Sat outside where there was a great view of the sky and river, ordered some drinks and snacks, filled time with idle talk~ it was great. The sun was scorching hot for about half an hour before it started to set....

Lamb shank with mash potato. Definitely not the best lamb shank ever- it had a very gamey taste to it, which I tend to dislike in lamb...

My lecturer ordered fish and chips, looked pretty good~ this was a rushed shot because it's kinda embarrassing taking photos of food in a group situation... especially with a lecturer there.

Honestly, it was great just sitting with my classmates and lecturer, talking about... well, uni amongst other things, but to be able to see the river, the sky, kookaburras, nature in general, it was so relaxing.

If the Log Cabin wasn't so far away, it'd be a good place to visit from time to time, but unfortunately, it's all the way down West.
Yup, because we were looking for a place near our uni/centre, The Log Cabin Hotel is at Penrith. In all 10 years of my life in Sydney, I never went far West by myself (I did go to Blue Mountains with family a couple of times) until I had to audition for Masters. I might sound ignorant for saying this, but I'm discovering that it does have some places worth visiting, for food and view...

Congrats on finishing 1 half of your Masters! Do you get your results for this semester already?? I have to wait until 22 Dec. T_T I like the look of the bacon cheese fries - cool way to serve it!
Yayy, haha, thanks. Results are going to be progressively released from Dec 7th. I kinda already know what they'll be like since we've already gotten all our assignment results back....
Bacon cheese fries were sooo good, but definitely artery clogging!
